How to Restore Crushed Velvet Pile

If velvet has been crushed (from folding, sitting, or accidental ironing), steam can sometimes restore the pile:

1. Hold the steamer 4–5cm from the crushed area.
2. Apply steam generously while gently brushing the pile upward with a soft velvet brush or clean toothbrush.
3. Work in small sections, steaming and brushing simultaneously.
