Cleaning the Weighing Platform

1. Remove the weighing platform if it's detachable — many scales have a removable platform that can be washed separately
2. If removable: wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry completely before replacing
3. If not removable: wipe with a cloth dampened with warm soapy water, wringing out thoroughly so it's barely damp
