Cause 2: Screws Are Stripped

If the screws have been overtightened in the past, or if the screw holes in the door panel have worn, the screws may no longer grip properly. They turn freely without tightening.

Fix: Replace the screws with slightly larger ones of the same thread type, or use a thread repair kit to restore the screw holes.

Cause 3: Handle Mounting Brackets Are Broken

Some oven handles attach via plastic or metal mounting brackets inside the door panel. These brackets can crack or break, especially on older ovens or if the handle has been pulled at an angle repeatedly.

Fix: Disassemble the door panel to access and replace the broken bracket. In some cases, the entire handle assembly needs replacement.

Cause 4: Handle End Caps Are Cracked
